AI Assistance
AI is not a replacement for editors. Rather, it helps them to:
- make texts understandable;
- make texts easier to find by search engines;
- summarise information;
- identify duplicate or similar information on the website.
Rules on AI
In order to use AI responsibly, the editorial team has committed itself to the following rules. The editors:
- always check all texts before they go online. AI tools never publish information directly on Government.nl. The final responsibility always lies with a human;
- do not enter personal data or confidential information into AI tools;
- manually check the sources suggested by an AI tool;
- undergo training on the responsible use of AI.
The editorial team does not use AI for direct contact with visitors to Government.nl. Nor does it use AI to translate texts for Government.nl.
