A strong civil society is essential for a good functioning democracy and an inclusive society. Civil society is under pressure in many countries worldwide. As the Netherlands we support civil society organisations to contribute to reducing inequality, combating corruption, to amplify the voice of citizens to stand up for their rights. Specific attention goes to the realization of women’s rights and gender equality through the SDG 5 fund.

Policy framework 2021-2025

A new policy framework has been developed for the period 2021-2025. This policy frameworks includes seven programs, of which four are grant instruments for which a subsidy framework is published below.

  • Power of Women.
  • Women, Peace and Security.
  • SRHR Partnership Fund.
