General Country of Origin Information Report Afghanistan December 2025

This general country of origin information (COI) report describes the situation in Afghanistan insofar as it is relevant for the assessment of asylum applications by persons originating from that country and for decisions relating to the return of rejected Afghan asylum seekers. The report is an update of the general country of origin information report for Afghanistan of June 2023. The reporting period runs from June 2023 to October 2025, with some relevant developments until December 2025.
