The Environment and Planning Act of the Netherlands 2020 - Explanatory Memorandum
Background, goals, scope, instruments, implementation regulations and the relationship between EU law and national law of the Environment and Planning Act are outlined.
On 17 June 2014 the Netherlands Ministry for Infrastructure and Environment submitted the Bill for the Environmental Planning Act to the Dutch parliament. After adoption by Parliament the final Act was published on 23 March 2016. It is expected the Act will enter into force in 2023.
