This report investigates how the requirements imposed on biomass used for energy applications under the EU Renewable Energy Directive can be practically applied by setting requirements for biomass for other applications in, for example, the construction and chemical sectors. Requirements are elaborated and -if possible- supplemented with indicators. This concerns ecological, scheme management and chain of custody requirements.
