Grant policy framework FemFocus 2026–2030

The FemFocus grant policy framework contains policy rules governing the award of grants for instruments under FemFocus 2026-2030. It sets out policy principles, criteria, application procedure, and more. Civil society organisations can apply for grants until January 7, 2026.

Updated documents: Annex 4.2 (Model Budget) and Annex 5 (Track Record) have been updated for clarification. All applicants are requested to use the new versions of both documents.

FemFocus aims to advance women’s economic participation as entrepreneurs, combat violence against women and girls, and strengthen women’s leadership in conflict prevention, mediation, and peacebuilding.

FemFocus is part of the government’s ‘Focus’ policy framework. That policy framework aims to strengthen local civil society organisations, so that they can provide the necessary services and conduct dialogue to achieve the objectives of a total of eight instruments. Local ownership is central to the policy framework. Funding models are simplified, with only a few layers: support partners (intermediaries) select, finance and strengthen in-country partners who design and implement activities in their own contexts.
