If you want to bring alcohol to the Netherlands, you may have to pay duty. How much alcohol you may bring duty-free depends on the country from which you are travelling to the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, you must be 18 years old to have alcohol with you.
Bringing alcohol from a country within the European Union (EU)
Do you want to bring alcohol to the Netherlands from another EU country? Check in advance how much alcohol you may bring duty-free (in Dutch). If you bring more than that amount, you will have to pay duty at the border.
Bringing alcohol from a country outside the EU
If you intend to bring alcohol from outside the EU to the Netherlands, read the alcohol allowance in advance.
