Is your employer unable to pay your wages due to financial problems? If so, you can apply for benefits due to inability to pay. This is a payment from the Employee Insurance Agency (UWV). UWV will then pay you the amount your employer still owes you, such as your wages.

When are you entitled to benefits due to inability to pay?

You can receive these benefits in various circumstances. For example:

  • if your employer has been granted a suspension of payments;
  • if your employer has been officially declared bankrupt.
