If you receive no state pension or only a partial state pension, you may be able to get income support. This is known as the aanvullende inkomensvoorziening ouderen (AIO). You can apply for the AIO from the SVB (Social Insurance Bank). First, you must answer a few questions in the AIO check. This will help you decide whether it is worth applying for the AIO.
Conditions for getting the AIO
In order to get the AIO, you must meet a number of conditions. For example, you must not have too much money in savings. You must also live in the Netherlands. You can find all conditions for getting the AIO on the SVB website.
